According to recent report gathered, Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain is currently ranked as the third best player in the world based on number of goal contributions across all competitions since 2020. Let's take a look at other players who made the top ten list. 

. Robert Lewandowski: The first player on the list is Robert Lewandowski. At the moment, the Bayern Munich forward is currently ranked as the best player in the world with 153 goal contributions from 108 games.


2. Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe (146 goal contributions)


3. Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi (116 goal contributions)


Karim Benzema: the fourth best player in the world at the moment is Karim Benzema who currently plays for Real Madrid. He is occupying fourth position with 114 goal contributions.


5. Erling Haaland: Despite being just 21 years old, the Norwegian International is ranked the fifth best player in the world with 111 goal contributions.
